Education Emergency in the Democratic Republic of Congo

For some time now, millions of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo were unable to attend school because of school fees.

In 2018, when a new president was elected, primary education was declared free.
As a result, nearly five million children returned to school.

This was a historic and courageous decision.

But it raised a critical question:

Where do we put these children?

Many schools were already destroyed.
Others had no classrooms, no furniture, no roofs.
In many areas, children now sit on stones to learn.

There are:

• No proper school buildings
• No desks or benches
• No protection from rain

When it rains, pupils either run home or wait outside until the rain stops.

This is the reality.

Our Mission as a Non-Profit Organization

The main purpose of Jesus Promotion Church International is to:

• Reveal the current state of devastation in schools, hospitals, orphanages, and vocational homes across the Congo DRC
• Take precautionary and restorative action
• Provide safe, dignified, and functional environments for pupils and vulnerable communities

Many of these facilities are in a critical and dangerous condition.
Children deserve better.

Historical Context

For over 50 years, the Congo has suffered from dictatorship, conflict, and instability.
As a result, most schools collapsed or were abandoned.

Today, we are responding with action.

Our Vision

We are committed to building 1,000 schools across the Congo DRC.

Each school will:

• Restore dignity
• Protect children
• Secure the future of a generation
